What does the recession mean for the real estate market?
It means that we are in an era of unprecedented opportunity. In this time of economic uncertainty, people are looking to invest their money in safe, tangible assets that will hold their value. Real estate is one of those things.
The recession has also led to a rise in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship is often a precursor to investing in real estate. Many entrepreneurs have turned to investment properties as a way to diversify their portfolios and set themselves up for success after they leave their day jobs. The result has been a boom in new investors and new opportunities for homeowners who want to sell their homes but don't want to wait for the market to rebound.
In fact, according to the National Association of REALTORS®, "sales of existing homes rose 3.3 percent from May 2015 and were up 6.1 percent from last year." That's good news!
The bottom line: if you're thinking about buying or selling your home, now is truly the best time ever!
