How to figure out if something stays with the home seller or stays with the home.

You've probably heard the saying, "When in doubt, leave it out." That's a pretty good general rule for figuring out what should stay with the home and what should go with the seller. But if you want to get more specific, here are some questions you can ask yourself:

* What does this item do? If it's an appliance that you use daily or weekly, then keeping it might be worth the extra storage space. If not, then you could always sell it separately.

* Does this item have sentimental value to me or my family? If so, keep it! It might not be worth much on its own, but no one else will appreciate its sentimental value like we do.

* How often do I use this item? If it's something that gets used regularly by everyone in your household—like your favorite coffee mug—then you should probably keep it around. However if it's something that only one person uses—like a yoga mat—then selling it and using the money toward a gym membership might be more beneficial for everyone involved!
