The first step in the home searching process is to decide what type of home you want. This can be a daunting task, especially if you've never bought a home before. Don't worry! We'll walk you through it.
The first thing to do is decide whether you want to buy a new home or an existing one. Buying a new home means that you will be able to customize everything about it—from the layout of the rooms and how they are furnished, to what kind of appliances and fixtures go into each room. However, if you've already settled on the features that are most important to you, it might be easier just to find an existing home with those features already installed.
Once you've decided between buying new or used, it's time to start looking at listings. If this is your first time buying a home, make sure that your realtor has experience helping people navigate this process! Once they have found some listings for you to look at (or even helped find some homes for sale), it's time for a tour!
